Share a little about what you're most excited about at Travel Insured International?
Our future is exciting with so many new things this year and in our future. From our new technology utilizing AI, our new website to launch soon, our retail and specialty products that are a direct response to travelers needs, to our new advisor "Certification Program" and finally to the many new partnerships I hope to make at European Travel Agent Forum.


What sets you apart from the competition?
That's easy - and that's a word I like to use when talking to advisors. We make it "easy". We understand insurance can be tricky sometimes to navigate for your team. Your travelers need to be protected and we can take care of them and your team with ease. Our partnerships focus on the agency owners’ teams to make sure they feel comfortable offering our travel protection. We make it easy by having our most popular plan, the Worldwide Trip Protector the simple choice for European travel. We are big on “trainings” to your team and offer specialized service to all of our advisor partners with unique phone and email access. Your account manager will also be there to help answer questions and provide business development. Your team can always get an answer within a day. Our Worldwide Trip Protector plan provides high medical, high evacuation, pre-existing medical condition waiver within 21 days of deposit, emergency assistance services and over 30 reasons for trip cancellation (not to mention Commission Protection for our advisor partners). This plan is the one to have for travel outside the U.S.

What are some of the trends you're seeing, and what initiatives are you developing to support travel sellers growing their business
We want to make sure our partners are able to grow their business - simply put if they grow we grow. It is a true partnership. Travel Insured is continuously innovating new and creative  incentives for our advisor partners with exciting programs to increase policy purchases. We understand it can be easy to check a box and purchase supplier insurance however that’s leaving money on the table and we want our advisor partners to grow their business and be successful. We are excited to announce a new Certification Program for advisors to complete on their own which will provide best practices, technology and plan information. Our account managers also hold business development meetings with owners to understand how they can best support their needs, conduct personalized trainings and growth.


What are your commission structures?
Our commission varies but is much higher than any supplier provided insurance. We are also proud to continue to offer “Commission Protection” to our agency partners. This is a valuable benefit not offered by other companies. We not only protect our travelers but also our agency partners.


What tools/technologies do you have in place to support travel sellers, and do they integrate into current technologies?
We can integrate with many GDS and API systems. Everything most advisors need can be done on the Advisor Dashboard. It's designed for ease-of-use, with answers to common questions, simple ways to modify your clients’ plans, and shareable links that tie back to individual agents for streamlined compensation and communication. The Advisor Dashboard is your partner North Star. Within it, you’ll find up-to-date tools, resources, training guides, marketing materials and more. You can use it to create and email quotes to clients, modify or review requests, contact our support team, run reports and analytics, and file or review claims.


When communicating with your company, what can travel advisors expect?
By contacting your account manager or inside support team you will get an answer within 24 hours if not before. Our dedicated US-based SAM (Sales and Account Management) team is made up of over 15 dedicated and responsive team members, with over 50 years of experience assisting partners like you with any questions or concerns. Advisors have their own team to contact either by phone, email or through the Advisor Dashboard. Additionally, our mutual travelers can contact our US-based Customer Care team if they have questions on coverages, benefits or claims.
