About Saxony Tourism
Saxony Tourism markets the German state of Saxony on behalf of the German government. Saxony is located between Berlin and Prague. Dresden is the capital and Leipzig the largest city. Chemnitz will be European Capital of Culture in 2025. Saxony Tourism is both a tourist board and a DMC.

Why should Travel Sellers work with Saxony Tourism?
Saxony is a destination that always exceeds the expectations on its visitors. By including Saxony on the trip, everybody wins.

What sets you apart from the competition?
Saxony is Germany's no. 1 cultural destination. It was the richest region of Germany from the 12th century to World War II, and it offers splendid architecture, some of the best art collections in the world and a unique musical landscape.

Share a success story!
During the pandemic, we launched a unique virtual fam trip which aired in six one-hour episodes on subsequent days. Everything that travel advisors would have done and seen, was filmed and shown in a summary form, bringing them as close the destination as was possible. Hundreds signed up for it from all over the world.

What is new and exciting that you're looking forward to sharing with this year's ETAF delegates?
First of all, Saxony has a new UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is Herrnhut, the birthplace of the Moravian Church. Its most famous settlement in the US is Bethlehem, PA, also now protected by UNESCO. Secondly, the jewels stolen from the Green Vault treasury museum in 2019, are back. Thirdly, Chemnitz will be European Capital of Culture in 2025. And fourthly, the SAX EDUCATION e-learning platform has just been launched.

What are some of the trends you're seeing, and what initiatives are you developing to support travel sellers growing their business
We continuously develop our B2B platform at www.visitsaxony.com with new features. For example, 100 1-minute educational movies on sights in Saxony have now been made available and can be downloaded.

What tools/technologies do you have in place to support travel sellers, and do they integrate into current technologies?
SAX EDUCATION e-learning platform at www.mysaxeducation.com; B2B platform at www.visitsaxony.com/b2b with information, sample itineraries, events, pictures and videos and more.

When communicating with your company, what can travel advisors expect?
